As a protective measure on the occasion of UEFA Euro 2024, a flight restriction area has been established for Leipzig. All flights by model aircraft and unmanned aerial systems (e.g. drones) are prohibited in this area. The no-fly zone is circular with a radius of 3,704 metres (2 nautical miles) around the Leipzig stadium and applies from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on all four match days.
 

The city of Leipzig has also published a general order prohibiting the use of drones in this area. This also applies on the match days from 5 pm to 2 am in the same area.
